In the morning we woke up early (5.30am!!) to go on our first Indian safari in the search of the elusive tiger. We went in open top jeep through the town and then on to to the reserve. Even at 6am in the morning there were people going for walks along the street and fires lit for the morning breakfast with the smell of smoked baked bread (like pizza bread) wafting past as we drove. There were cows and pigs and dogs and camels also looking for breakfast along the street, while others still slept in doorways and on beds out in the open.
These are the photos with descriptions.
We got to the Tiger reserve and were greeted with hawkers wanting to sell us hats, caps, t-shirts and jackets. Once we got our tickets we were allowed to drive on in to the national park.
After breakfast we relaxed (slept) till the afternoon arose. In the afternoon we headed out on our second safari of the day which might hopefully land us a tiger.

Monkey sitting on a tree stump(pretty obvious). It's tail was so long that when it ran, it would lift it up into a perfect circle so it was called a ring-tailed monkey
Watering hole. no tigers here
We didn't see a lot but still it was fun, We heard alarm calls and animals running away quickly from something in the bushes. We waited and waited but heard and saw nothing on this ride. So we decided to try again in the afternoon and headed back to the hotel. After we had breakfast I spotted a friend of the wasp which stung me, it's pretty big.
I was amazed -I did not realise these safaris operated. Must say thats an awfully long tail on the first monkey and then how small the threesome looked. You'd better sleep well after all these early morning starts so you are refreshed for college early morning starts. Wet and cold here enjoy the heat!
