France Day 1!

When I arrived in France, I saw the Concorde airplane at the airport. It used to fly passengers into space!

In the morning me and dad walked down to the market. We did that because we had to get tomatoes, two baugettes, three croissants and ham (in some parts of the ham they put stuffing!) I did the ordering in French.

After that we went to a church that had two dead nuns in glass cases that you could look at but we could only see two. I could tell that one of them was fake because it looked plasticy, and the other still had skin on! I got some miracle medals.

Soon after we went to an awsome playgroud.  It was so fun after I payed to go in I raced to a rope pyrimid, like the one in NZ at Orientel Bay. After that I went across to a flying fox, I always had to hold on to the bottom of it, because I always fell off the seat and hanging on by a thread.

Then we went to Montmatre.  This is a suburb of Paris which has the Place du Tetre artists painting in the square.

Nearby, was the Sacre Coeur church which had a great view of Paris,
Later on we caught the Metro to Grandad's favourite shop (Fauchon) for some macaroons

and to see the church called the Madeleine. I lit a candle and heard the choir sing -I thought that they weren't that good. Mum said Sacred Heart College choir was better.

Soon we walked down the main street of Paris called the Champs elysees.  On the way back we saw that people were putting flags and seats up for the Tour de France which ends here on Sunday.

We watched lots of gypsies ask for money and try pickpocketing while were eating lunch, we also saw a begger walk in and out of a shop with bags on one of richest streets in the world.  I thought that they were going to pick pocket Dad for a while. So did he, but he was watching them closely.

Then we walked all the way up the main street to the Arc de Triomphe.  It's an archway in the middle of a big roundabout at the top of the main street.  Under the arch is were an  unknown soldier is burried with a flame that never stop apart from a memoriol day when they re-light it again.

Then we had to walk all the way home and we had to walk under LA TOUR EIFFEL

These are the things I have noticed about living in Paris.  I noticed that the buildings here are cream.  There are lots of squares and cafes and bakeries and monuments.

The ground is sandy with trees lining all the paths, they are called avenues or boullervards.

You are not allowed on the grass. it's just for looking at.

I also noticed that France has the same gypsies and street sellers as elsewhere in europe - selling same things and eiffel towers (but not the real one - PHEW)

There are also people hugging and kissing in public and lots of tiny tiny little dogs.

That's my whole day au revoir from Paris!

More on Pra-gooey

First of all I would like to say HI to my Uncle, Aunt and my cousins HELLO!

When we woke up we had breakfast and crossed the Charles bridge. Then we started our journey to the castle.

Along the way we walked up a street that had no numbers just symbols for each house. There is the pink Lamb the golden Key, the golden Wheel, the green Lobster, the two suns and a swan on a Christmas tree!

In the castle grounds there is a Cathedral which is the head Cathedral in Pragooey. W went in it and then bobbed back out. I thought it was really long and all round massive. Here are some photos in and out of the Cathedral.

There was also a lane with little houses, and I mean they had small doorways. the houses were lived in by the gold smiths Five hundred years ago!! I went in one of the last ones and it had three floors of weaponry, shields and amour. Luckily for them also toilets.

Told you!!!

FIRE THE CANNONS!

But what we really came here to see was the changing of the guard, I got front row seats or is that front row shoulders???? Personaly I think I did a pretty good job of taking the photos through solid steal gates.

                                                  ATTENTION! ADDEESE MEN!
After lunch we caught the cable car up to a park, The Monument is not the Eiffel Tower but a copy of the top part. While we were there we went into a mirror maze. Me and Dad thought it was the worst mirror maze put on this Earth. I would not advise you to go there if you ever come to Prague.

A great view over the water.

The water infront of the Charles bridge.

After that we went to a concert, not the YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! PUNK PUNK PUNK sort but a sort of HHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUU holy concert.

And now I'm just looking forward to going to Paris the home of weird but livible love. For the second time in my life.            OLIVE WA!

Prague - Day 1

When we woke up, after a while we went down to the buffet waiting for us.  Breakfast is different here so we had Hot Dogs! I tried the hot chocolate there but it was disgusting UGH!  We went back to our room and got some money for the day.  Outside the shops are different - they sell puppets, wooden toys and crystal glasses.  The buildings are also different - they are painted lots of different colours and look like giant dolls houses which girls would probably like.

Since it was ten minutes till ten O'clock we went down to the clock tower ( They have two clocks there not just one one of them is just a normal clock but in the middle  of that clock is an even smaller clock to show were the sun and moon are in the universe.) When we got there it just started and all the doll saints came out.  When it ended we soon went into a small church, we just went in to it for ten seconds.  we might go to a concert there tomorrow with an organ and trumpet.

After that we found a person that would take us to another person that would take us on a segway tour, apparently we were his first customers. It was definitely the best thing we'd done in Prague, all you do is put you weight forward our backwards to make it go back and forward.  It was heaps of fun, and while I was going up some little stairs I didn't go down instead I got some big air. We travelled all around the big city.  We were heaps faster than people using their poor legs.  Lots of tourists kept taking pictures of us.

We also went across Charles bridge, which leads to Prague Castle where Tintin went.  We are going to go there tomorrow to see the changing of the guard and other stuff I don't know about yet.

While we were there we stopped in at Saint Nicholas church which is pink and gold inside. Then we headed back.

When we got off the bridge we went into the Museum of torture, it had all the different instruments of torture some are still used today.

This is the chair of nails to get people to tell the truth

This is the iron maiden with spikes inside that poke you when its closed

This is the rack that can stretch you until you are as tall as Dad

Now I am going to tea - BYE!
