Washington DC-Day 1

After a hefty breakfast from the hotel's kitchen we headed off on a trip to Washington DC but not before seeing where the DNC (Democratic National Convention) is going to be held. We moved on through the small towns and different highways before stopping to go into a Wawa gas station type stop for refreshments. We drove on until we reached Lancaster and Intercourse, Amish country towns, were we got pretzels and lemonade as well as visiting the village centre shopping place which sold quilts, food and locally made gifts etc. After looking around the village we went down a few streets to look at the countryside and moving on to DC. This is what we saw.

We later arrived in Washington DC and visited the Washington National Cathedral whish had great architecture inside as well as the outside. We moved through the Dupont Circle part of DC, we saw where the Obamas are moving to after 2016 before returning our rental car, returning home and then, going out to dinner. We later had to rush home just in time to see Trump speak to the RNC crowds. This is what we saw.
